Having some extra juice on tap like a GoPro power bank is an essential accessory. Whether it’s for your phone, tablet or other camera gear. In this electronic device dominant world having a portable power bank is a must. Are there cheaper versions of the GoPro power bank available? Yes. I will say that it is a quality build and works very well. Bellow is a video I put together a simple test charging the Hero5 Session camera. It powered up a completely dead Hero5 Session in about 50 min.

Like I said earlier yes there are other power banks on the market. You can get them for less than $10 on Amazon. As is with most all GoPro accessories you get what you pay for. In need of a power bank for one project, you don’t ever think it will be put to use again. Go the cheap route. On the other hand, if you are serious about equipment and don’t want to be let down in the field buy quality. Doing this will pay for itself ten times over. Another more significant power option is OmniPower power bank. In the future, I will do a review of it also taking GoPro power to another level.
