The SanDisk Extreme portable SSD is a simple easy to use media storage solution. It is the perfect fit for the outdoor, on the go photographer. SanDisk is a part of Western Digital; you have probably had several of their hard drives in one of your computers. SanDisk is a leader, if not the biggest, in flash media. I would describe this drive as a super rugged, go anywhere (almost anywhere it’s not fully waterproof) drive.

After using this drive for about six months now with zero problems. I have been using the 500GB model. It is currently available in four sizes 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB versions.
With an IP55 rating, the SanDisk Extreme portable SSD drives are super durable. This rating states it will stand up to rain, splashes, spills, and dust. I have not had mine around any water; I can attest to the dust rating. It fell out of my backpack at the King of the Hammers race in Johnson Valley, California. It was bouncing around on the floor in a jeep for several hours driving around at this desert off-road race.
SanDisk Extreme SSD, Perfect Rugged Storage Solution
From using SanDisk SD cards for the last eight years, I can say that they are a top of the line memory card. Just make sure you purchase through a reputable dealer. They are by far my favorite SD cards for use in GoPro and my Sony A7iii camera. I can easily see myself purchasing more in the 1TB and 2TB versions.
